Digg It - How To Think Like A Web Designer
I've noticed over the years that when I start a new web design project I've developed my own process. I imagine that most designers will say th According to USFDA, a combination product is one composed of any combination of a drug and device; biological product and device; drug and biological product e same thing. Sure we might all follow certain principals, but I've discovered that I usually think about three things: 1. The initial concept ; or drug, device, and biological product and fixed dose combination would include two or more combinations of drug. Examples of combination products may in /creative idea 2. Usability 3. Secondary design such as colors, images, etc. I'll open up a new Photoshop document (usually at 1024 px size lude drug-coated devices, drugs packaged with delivery devices in medical kits, and drugs and devices packaged separately but intended to be used together. or greater since the majority of internet surfers are at that resolution or higher) and basically just start placing elements on the page (logo here is enormous increase in the number of combination products entering the market in the recent years. Combination products have proven advantages but fixe s, images, menu items, etc.). This is what I like to call the "collage" phase. Often times I revert to this if that initial concept hasn't come d dose combinations are still in the process of convincing regulatory authority on their advantages over the single ingredient formulations. Combination pro to me yet, but even if I have a concept in mind, I like to try different placement of elements to see what works best. I often compare it to i ucts have become life saving products for the pharmaceutical companies who doesn’t have many innovative molecules in their product pipeline and have been inc nterior design of a room - you move the furniture around to see what the best placement and "flow" is. As I'm creating and moving elements aro easingly used in the product life cycle management. Even the companies having product patents are trying to extend their product life cycle through the combi und the page, I'm thinking about two other things: how will this translate to an actual webpage (for example, can I make it 100% css, how will nation products and maximize the revenues. But the companies involved in this practice are overlooking that they are burdening the patients both economically I "cut up" the page, etc.) and how useable the site will be to visitors. By this point in a project I've either researched or learned more deta and physically. They need to rightly judge the benefits of the combination products and they have to even look at the risks involved when combining the produ ils from the client about their specific target audience. This is important information to know when building a site because a site targeted to ts. Some of the combination products were well accepted by physicians while others suffered. Companies involved in development of combination products are fi children will be completely different than a site targeted to adults, and so on. If a client doesn't have a specific color scheme in mind, I ding difficulty in defining their combination products and facing various challenges from selecting a combination to marketing it. Following aspects would a may try several different ones to see what works best. With color and imagery (photos) I review the target audience details one more time as th dd to the challenges in developing combination products: Which markets to tap where the combination products can do fairly well? Which combination prod is plays a major role in how the design will appeal to the majority of visitors to the site. Of course after the initial design is shown to th cts are meaningful and rational? Which therapeutic categories to select? Which Combinations can address unmet needs of the patients? Do combin e client there are often rounds of changes and revisions to get that "perfect" look. Here is where I combine my experience with the wishes of t tions increase the patient compliance? What would be the developing cost? How to tackle the risks encountered during combination product developmen he client. A good designer will know how to, what I call, "tread the line", and be able to explain professionally to a client why one of their t? As combination products don't fit into the traditional categories of drugs, medical devices, or biological products, the USFDA is in the process of devel ideas might not work or how to incorporate something the client wants and make it work in a design. No one likes to be told they have a horribl ping new procedures for reviewing their safety, efficacy and quality. This is a really simplified explanation on the thought process involved when first started to design a new website. Every project worked . As there is an increasing trend of the combination products companies manufacturing such products should be able to tackle the problems involved in the de on is unique and the more you design, the more experience you gain on how to handle different projects and clients.
