Sales Management

Emotional Types Mastery

Over the centuries, philosophers have tried to categorize the very many complex emotions of humanity - no easy task. Philosophers argued emotions are largely influenced by one's time period and culture. In the persuasive process, you want to eliminate negative emotions while constructing positive emotions.

Environmental Expectations

Your environment and the expectations of that environment should be persuasive. In a theory they call the Broken Window Theory, James Wilson and George Kelling suggest that a building full of broken windows will cause people to assume that no one cares for the building or its appearance. This in turn will spur more vandalism. In other words, the environment's condition gives suggestions that lead people to hold certain assumptions, and people then act on those assumptions.

Sales Management Can Save You From Losing Your CEO Job

Sales management is a key to any company’s success and the sooner you understand that the better. Most of my articles on sales have been from a specific perspective you see I am an entrepreneur and am now retired. I founded and ran a Franchising Company, which set up units in 450 cities, 150 major markets and 4 countries.

Obligation Marketing

A film-developing company thrived on the Law of Obligation. They would send a roll of film in the mail along with a letter explaining that the film was a free gift. The letter then outlined how the recipient should return the film to their company to be processed. Even though a number of local stores could process the film at a far lower price, most people ended up sending it to the company that had sent them the film.

Don’t Wait Until It’s Too Late To Work On Your Sales Turnaround

I’m doing a sales turnaround assessment and planning project right now for a company that’s lost a large percentage of it’s sales in the last year. The CEO has come to us and asked us to help him devise a strategy to quickly get revenues back up to their previous levels. The company is losing money and while it has scaled back on it’s employee headcount and other costs, it’s still struggling to get close to breaking even. The company needs an immediate sales fix.

Managing Salespeople at a Christmas Tree Lot

For those who have ever run a Christmas Tree Lot you know that if those people leave without buying a tree they may not come back and this is why sales are so critical indeed. Sales management, staffing and careful scrutinizing can make the difference.

Learn to Think Small

The little foxes spoil the grapes. Which little foxes are spoiling your grapes?

It's Time For The Fourth Quarter Push

The pressure is on and management is breathing down it’s employees necks to finish the year hitting or beating their sales numbers for the year.

Goal Setting Activity

Most people find the act of a goal setting activity almost impossible because they set goals that are way too large and become disheartened before they ever come close to reaching them. A goal setting activity that works is one that is broken down until it represents a single event. It is the progressive, sequential accumulation of single events that ensure the final desired end result

Successful Sales Managers Are Great Influencers

Great influencers manage to get other people to go along with their ideas whilst maintaining the relationship. If people feel manipulated, relationships will be damaged. It is important to understand the different strategies available to you and to plan your approach.

Is Your Organisation Committed To Succeed?

Whatever got you where you are today will not be sufficient to keep you there. A rapidly changing environment is the regular background against which organisations must develop.

Understanding The Different Influencing Styles

The way in which you behave as a manager and the approach you take will have a marked effect on your ultimate success or failure. Having a range of approaches and styles of behaviour gives you more flexibility. It increases your options – and your chance of success.
